About Allianz Arena
Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, is a football stadium at Franz-Beckenbauer-Platz 5. It sits on the Fröttmaning Heath, at the northern edge of the Schwabing-Freimann borough. It seats 70,000 at international matches and 75,000 at domestic ones, and within Germany only the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund is larger. For UEFA competitions it is known as Munich Football Arena. Bayern Munich began playing home matches here when the 2005–06 season started.
The skin of inflated ETFE plastic panels is what the stadium is widely known for, and it is the world's first stadium with an exterior that can change color completely. The facade is built from 2,760 ETFE-foil air panels, kept inflated with dry air. The foil is 0.2 mm thick. Each panel can be lit on its own in white, red or blue, so the shell glows red when Bayern Munich host, white for Germany national team games, and white again at neutral venues.
Construction began on October 21, 2002, and the stadium officially opened on May 30, 2005. Herzog & de Meuron were the primary designers. The main entrance is reached from an elevated esplanade, set apart from the parking space, an underground car park that is the biggest in Europe. Built-in roller blinds in the roof can be drawn back and forth in games, giving protection from the sun. In 2022 it hosted a regular season NFL game, a first for Germany.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 14 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 18 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Diamond-patterned stadium shell
- The shell is covered in a diamond lattice of ridges. Print friendly adapts these fine lines to the print scale; Full detail keeps every panel line, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the ridges crisp.
- Stepped seating in the opening
- Rows of stepped seating show through the roof opening. A larger print size keeps more of these small steps distinct, and Full detail keeps every one.
- One piece with the ground
- Allianz Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Allianz Arena takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there an Allianz Arena STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Allianz Arena grows with the print: about 14 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
