About Munich
Munich is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and its largest city, standing beside the Isar, north of the Alps. In November 2024 it had 1,604,384 residents, the third highest total in Germany after Berlin and Hamburg, and at 4,800 people per km2 no other German municipality is more densely populated. The first record of the city dates to 1158. In 1806 the Kingdom of Bavaria took Munich as its capital, and Wittelsbach rule lasted until 1918.
In the 15th century Gothic arts were revived in Munich, with an enlargement of the Old Town Hall and the Frauenkirche, a cathedral and the city's largest Gothic church, built in only 20 years from 1468. The Antiquarium, built by Albrecht V in 1568 inside the Residenz, held a collection of Greek and Roman antiquities belonging to the Wittelsbach dynasty. Munich was heavily bombed in World War II, but much of its historic architecture was later restored. Several high-rise buildings, among them the HVB Tower and the BMW Headquarters beside the Olympic Park, stand clustered at the northern edge of the skyline.

Common questions
Are these Munich landmark models free?
Yes. All 7 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Munich landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Munich landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 4 and 78 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
