Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A thin, curving ramp

A long, narrow ramp curls away from the building on slim columns. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  2. Overhanging disc and rim notches

The wide disc overhangs its cylindrical base, and tiny notches ring its rim. Print slowly with good cooling, and use layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm to keep the rim crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Niterói Contemporary Art Museum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Niterói Contemporary Art Museum takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum

The Niterói Contemporary Art Museum, known as MAC, stands in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and ranks among the city's main landmarks. Bruno Contarini, a structural engineer with whom Oscar Niemeyer had worked on earlier projects, assisted Niemeyer in designing it. The museum was completed in 1996. Its saucer shape has been likened to a UFO, and a film about Niemeyer shows him soaring above Rio de Janeiro in a UFO that then lands on the site, hinting at where the museum came from.

The saucer-shaped modernist structure rises 16 meters, and its cupola is 50 meters across and has three floors. The building sits on a cliffside with a beach at the bottom and projects over Boa Viagem beach. A reflecting pool of 817 m² (8,790 sq ft) surrounds the round base "like a flower," in Niemeyer's words.

A wide access slope leads up to a Hall of Expositions with room for sixty people. Two doors open onto a viewing gallery, where Sugarloaf Mountain, Guanabara Bay and Rio de Janeiro can be seen. The museum has 1,217 works that came from the collector João Sattamini, assembled since the 1950s, which is Brazil's second-largest collection of contemporary art.

About this model

The Niterói Contemporary Art Museum is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
