What file format does Mini Skyline export?

Mini Skyline exports printable core 3MF packages. It does not currently export STL or redistribute raw OpenStreetMap or Overture source data.

Does model generation stay in my browser?

Yes. Browser Web Workers build the preview and 3MF locally. The app still requests map and elevation sources over the network.

Will every mapped feature appear in the model?

No. Source coverage varies, recent edits may not be in pinned datasets yet, and features can be filtered or widened to remain printable.

Do I need CAD or GIS experience?

No. The app handles the map-to-mesh workflow. You choose the place and physical settings, then inspect the preview and slicer result.

Can I share or sell a printed model?

Often, but it depends on the included source data and your use. Keep the generated attribution and license bundle and review Output Use first.

Open map data gets you most of the way. Our own data packs fill in the rest, so your 3D printed map looks like the real place. For each model, the export dialog tells you whether its map data allows commercial use and which credits to include; the attributions page lists the sources.

LiDAR building heights

LiDAR heights in UK, US and Swiss cities, official records across Europe, and storey counts in Spain and Denmark. Sensible guesses everywhere else.

Mapped roofs print as drawn and LiDAR roofs are in beta. Every other building gets a gabled, hipped or flat roof and a colour that suit its region.
