About Red Bull Arena (Leipzig)
Red Bull Arena stands in the Zentrum-Nordwest locality of Leipzig, Saxony, Germany, and is a football stadium that has also hosted music concerts. No football stadium in Eastern Germany is larger. It was formerly called the Zentralstadion, and for European matches UEFA sponsorship rules mean it goes by the names RB Arena and Leipzig Arena. The first Zentralstadion opened in 1956 and could hold 100,000 spectators, making it among Europe's biggest stadiums at the time.
Leipzig's city leaders decided in 1997 to build a new football-only stadium inside the old one. Construction ran from December 2000 to March 2004, and the stadium opened in 2004. Bridges span the old stadium to link it with the new one. The roof integrates the floodlights and is intended to give superior acoustics. The stadium measures 230 m from north to south and 210 m from east to west, with a height to the roof of 46.5 m.
In the 2006 FIFA World Cup the Zentralstadion was the sole stadium from former East Germany to host games: it hosted a round of 16 game as well as four group matches. Red Bull, the energy drink maker, took over SSV Markranstädt's license in July 2009 and renamed the team RasenBallsport Leipzig, or RB Leipzig. From the outset the team wished to move into the stadium and rename it Red Bull Arena. On March 25, 2010, the naming rights were granted.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Dense ring of slim columns
- A dense ring of slim columns and cross-braces wraps the outer wall. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them crisp, and Print friendly adapts the thinnest to the print scale.
- Thin arch over the roof opening
- A slender arch sweeps over one side of the roof opening. Printing slowly helps, and a larger print size keeps the roof ribs and the arch distinct.
- One piece with the ground
- Red Bull Arena (Leipzig) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Red Bull Arena (Leipzig) takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
