About Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

The Bernabéu, also called Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, is a football stadium with a retractable roof in Madrid, Spain, in the Chamartín district. It has been Real Madrid's home since it was completed in 1947. After an extensive renovation finished in late 2024, its seating capacity is 83,186. The stadium is named after Santiago Bernabéu (1895–1978), who was a Real Madrid player and later the club's president.

Santiago Bernabéu became Real Madrid's president in September 1943, and the plan for a new stadium gained ambitious momentum under him. In September 1944, after evaluating seven submitted projects, a jury gave first prize to the design by Luis Alemany Soler and Manuel Muñoz Monasterio. Bernabéu symbolically began construction with a groundbreaking strike on October 27, 1944. The work took 30 months, and basic materials were scarce in post-war Spain. The company Huarte y Compañía carried it out from June 1945 under the architects Alemany and Muñoz Monasterio, with civil engineer Carlos Fernández Casado.

The stadium has staged four European Cup and UEFA Champions League finals (1957, 1969, 1980 and 2010). The 2018 Copa Libertadores final also came here for its return leg, so it is the single ground that has staged finals in both competitions. Its pitch also saw the 1982 FIFA World Cup final and the final of the 1964 European Nations' Cup, which makes it the first European stadium to stage a UEFA Euro final as well as a World Cup final.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale

200 mm 24 mm 1:3,000

Fine bands on the outer wall
The curved outer wall is covered in thin horizontal bands and vertical lines. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them readable, and Print friendly adapts the finest ones to your print scale.
Wide roof ring
The roof reaches inward over the seating as a thin ring around an open center. A larger print keeps this ring more distinct, and Full detail preserves its radial lines.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
