9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tower with corner turrets
The square tower ends in a pointed cap ringed by small turrets. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. Slow printing keeps the tip clean.
- Long roof and many gables
The nave roof and its pointed gables carry fine window tracery. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep that detail crisp.
- One piece with the ground
St. John's Episcopal Church, Bridgeport is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. John's Episcopal Church, Bridgeport takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. John's Episcopal Church, Bridgeport
St. John's Episcopal Church stands at 768 Fairfield Avenue, west of downtown Bridgeport, Connecticut. James Renwick Jr., a leading church designer of the late 19th century whose best-known work is St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan, designed it. Construction ran from 1873 to 1875, for a congregation that began in 1738 as an Anglican mission, and it became a recognized parish in 1784.
The walls are granite from a quarry at Greenwich, Connecticut, and the lighter trim came from Ohio. The roof is dark slate with bands of red slate. A square tower at the southeast corner has stone buttresses at its base, a belfry above, and a pyramidal cap with rounded turrets at each corner. The main entrances are in the base of the tower.
The present building is the congregation's fourth sanctuary; it outgrew each of the first three. A chapel wing was added on the north side from 1886 to 1888, the rectory in 1903, and the parish hall and guild hall complex in 1930. The altar carries a reredos by sculptor Gutzon Borglum, installed in 1913. The National Register listed the church in 1984.
