About Uber Arena
Uber Arena, an indoor arena for many kinds of events, stands in Berlin's Friedrichshain neighborhood in Germany and opened in 2008. From 2008 to 2015 it was known as O2 World Berlin because of a sponsorship contract with Telefónica Germany. In 2015 Mercedes-Benz struck a deal with the arena's management to rename it Mercedes-Benz Arena Berlin. In March 2024 it was renamed Uber Arena after a long-term deal with AEG Europe, the venue operators.
Its top capacity is 17,000, for concerts or MMA events. Tenants include the ice hockey club Eisbären Berlin and the basketball team Alba Berlin. It has hosted the EuroLeague Final Four three times, in 2009, 2016 and 2024; the EuroLeague is a European professional basketball club competition. On October 8, 2011, it staged an NHL Premiere game, the first NHL game in Germany that counted in the regular season, in which the Buffalo Sabres beat the Los Angeles Kings 4–2. It also hosted group matches of FIBA EuroBasket 2015 and the final phase of EuroBasket 2022.
Metallica was the first band to play there, on September 12, 2008, and the arena was also the venue of the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards. The artist Jakob Kupfer turned the arena's LED facade into a giant art installation in October 2013. The League of Legends World Championship final of 2015 took place there on October 31. The arena was among the most prominent parts of the Mediaspree urban redevelopment project and quickly took on emblematic status in the debates over the project's impact.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 11 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 13 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 17 mm | 1:2,344 |

- Lettering and fine facade lines
- The south facade carries small Uber Arena lettering and fine vertical lines. Print friendly adapts such details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- A broad, shallow roof
- The wide oval roof has a shallow ridge line and fine rib marks. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep its surface smooth, and a larger print size keeps the ribs readable.
- One piece with the ground
- Uber Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Uber Arena takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Uber Arena is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there an Uber Arena STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Uber Arena grows with the print: about 11 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
