2 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Fine detail on a flat site
A sports ground is mostly low and flat, with small stands and fences. Print it larger, or choose Full detail with a fine nozzle, to keep those small details.
- One piece with the ground
Wanderers Grounds is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Wanderers Grounds takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Wanderers Grounds
Wanderers Grounds, a sports complex in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is part of the Halifax Commons. The grounds host HFX Wanderers FC and, as a second tenant, Halifax Tides FC. In the 1880s the Halifax Wanderers Amateur Athletic Club used the land for rugby and lawn bowling. During the Second World War the club did not pay its lease fees, and the City of Halifax has maintained the land since then.
Many sports have been played here, including soccer, baseball, cricket, rugby football and track and field. The Halifax Pelham Canadians called the grounds home from 1977 to 2008, and in 1942 Babe Ruth appeared at a navy baseball game, Halifax against Toronto, though he failed to hit a home run. On August 31, 1957, the grounds hosted the first Canada Soccer Challenge Trophy match held east of Montreal.
The club built a field house here in 1896, and fire destroyed it. A building called the Navy League Dry Canteen replaced it, which was once going to be rehabilitated but was considered too structurally unsound. In 2017 Halifax city councillors unanimously approved a temporary stadium for a future Canadian Premier League team, and HFX Wanderers FC began play in 2019.
About this model
Wanderers Grounds is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
