13 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A broad, smooth dome
The roof is a wide, shallow dome with faint seam lines. Thin layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm give a smoother finish on large curved surfaces.
- A wall of small panels
Many small panels form the wall beneath the dome. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale, while Full detail keeps each one, which suits larger prints or a fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
The OVO Hydro is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The OVO Hydro takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the OVO Hydro
Inside Glasgow's Scottish Event Campus stands the OVO Hydro, a multi-purpose indoor arena. Next to it are the SEC Centre and SEC Armadillo. The arena stages concerts by international stars and other global entertainment and sporting events, and its maximum capacity is 14,300. Rod Stewart played a concert at its official opening on September 30, 2013.
Its first name, The Scottish Hydro Arena, came from its sponsor, Scottish Hydro Electric. While it was being built, the company rebranded as SSE, so the arena opened as The SSE Hydro and kept that name until October 2021, when a new sponsor, OVO Energy, led to the name OVO Hydro. Planning started in 2001, and the London-based architects Foster + Partners joined as the design team in May 2004. Lend Lease began building in February 2011, and in May 2013 the translucent outer cushions that give the arena its signature look were installed, along with the seating.
During the 2014 Commonwealth Games the arena was home to the netball and gymnastics events, and it hosted that December's BBC Sports Personality of the Year ceremony. In 2015 it held the UFC's first Scottish event and the artistic gymnastics world championships. Its exterior also appears in the film The Story of Fire Saga, as the venue of the fictional 2020 Eurovision Song Contest.
About this model
The OVO Hydro is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
