About Glasgow
Glasgow has more people than any other city in Scotland and is the third most populous in the United Kingdom. It stands beside the Clyde in west central Scotland. It grew from a small rural settlement near Glasgow Cathedral into the largest seaport in Scotland. The University of Glasgow was established in the 15th century, and in the 18th century the city became a major center of the Scottish Enlightenment. Its population peaked at 1,127,825 in 1938, then fell after urban renewal projects in the 1960s moved many residents to new towns such as Cumbernauld and East Kilbride. In 2020 it had an estimated 632,350 people.
Very little of medieval Glasgow remains; St. Mungo's Cathedral (13th century) and Provand's Lordship (15th century) are its two main landmarks from that period. Nearly all of the central city dates from the 19th century, which left a heritage of Victorian architecture that includes the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Glasgow City Chambers and the University of Glasgow's main building. Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed the Glasgow School of Art and the Willow Tearooms. Black soot covered the red and blond sandstone of many buildings until the Clean Air Act of 1956, and the city has more than 1,800 listed buildings.

Common questions
Are these Glasgow landmark models free?
Yes. All 4 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Glasgow landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Glasgow landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 10 and 13 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
