Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Onion domes with thin spires

Onion domes with thin spires rise above the roof and gable. Printing slowly with good cooling helps tall thin tips, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the domes smooth.

  2. Dense windows and stone bands

The tall facade is covered in rows of windows and stone bands. Print friendly adapts small details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.

  3. One piece with the ground

Augsburg Town Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Augsburg Town Hall takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Augsburg Town Hall

Augsburg Town Hall, the Augsburger Rathaus in German, is the administrative center of Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany, and ranks among the most significant secular Renaissance buildings north of the Alps. Elias Holl, the town's Stadtbaumeister, or master builder, designed and built it between 1615 and 1624. The Hague Convention covering cultural property in armed conflicts protects it, owing to its historic and cultural importance.

Holl laid the foundation stone on August 25, 1615. The exterior was done by March 1620, and the interior followed in 1624. The magistrates wanted a building without a tower, but Holl insisted on the onion domes beside the gable and was allowed to proceed in 1618. The Gothic town hall of 1385 was demolished to make way, at the urging of mayor Hieronymus Imhoff. Two ornaments on the large front gable show the town's self-image: the Reichsadler, the Holy Roman Empire's imperial eagle, and a large copper pine cone, the Zirbelnuss, the symbol of Augsburg.

Inside, Holl built three overlaying halls: the Lower Fletz at ground level, the Upper Fletz above it and the Goldener Saal (Golden Hall), a double-height room and the most impressive of them. The Golden Hall covers 552 square meters (5,940 sq ft) under a ceiling 14 meters (46 ft) high. World War II bombing burned the exterior completely, and the building was rebuilt with an exterior true to its historic appearance and a much simplified interior.
