Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A low block at print scale

The guest house is only five stories, so at this scale it sits low and its detail is small. Print it larger, or use Full detail with a fine nozzle, so the roofline and wall faces read.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Domus Sanctae Marthae is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Domus Sanctae Marthae takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Domus Sanctae Marthae

The Domus Sanctae Marthae is a guest house for clergy in Vatican City, built beside St. Peter's Basilica and finished in 1996 while John Paul II was pope. It takes its name from Martha of Bethany, a sibling of Mary and Lazarus. Clergy who have business with the Holy See stay in its rooms, and during a conclave the cardinal electors live there while they vote for a new pope.

John Paul II commissioned the building after taking part in two conclaves, where the cardinals had been housed in makeshift rooms in the Apostolic Palace with few bathrooms, limited dining space and no air conditioning. The Italian architect Giuseppe Facchini designed it, and the Daughters of Charity run it. It rises five stories and holds 106 suites with 22 single rooms as well as an apartment.

Pope Francis turned down the Apostolic Palace's papal apartments and lived in a suite here from his election in 2013 until his death in 2025, celebrating morning Mass and taking communal meals in the residence. The house also holds the support staff for a conclave, such as doctors, cooks and cleaners, while the cardinals vote in the Sistine Chapel on the far side of St. Peter's Basilica and are driven there by bus.
