Dwejra Tower in 3D
The landmark on its own, at its size on a 160 mm print. Print friendly thickens thin parts for a 0.4 mm nozzle; Full detail keeps every part.

3 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Sloped base and narrow stair
The tower has a sloped lower section, fine masonry courses and a narrow stair up to a raised door. Print friendly adapts these small details; Full detail keeps them, best with a larger print.
- A small building
This is a compact tower with a small block on its roof, so print size makes a clear difference. A 0.12 mm layer height keeps the parapet and cornice lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Dwejra Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Dwejra Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Dwejra Tower
Dwejra Tower (Torri tad-Dwejra in Maltese) stands in Dwejra Bay, in San Lawrenz on the island of Gozo, Malta. It was completed in 1652 while Giovanni Paolo Lascaris was Grand Master, and the University of Gozo paid for it. It belongs to the Lascaris towers, built to watch over the surrounding area and guard it against corsair landings. Only four coastal watchtowers survive on Gozo; the other three are Isopu Tower, Xlendi Tower and Mġarr ix-Xini Tower.
Like the other Lascaris towers, it could signal to nearby fortifications with fire at night and smoke by day. The cost of running it was met by salt produced at the nearby salt pans. Three 6-pounder guns were fitted there in the eighteenth century. Grand Master Pinto banned visits to Fungus Rock in 1744, where a plant popularly called the Maltese fungus was thought to have medicinal powers, and the tower served as a lookout to stop anyone climbing the islet.
The Royal Malta Fencible Artillery manned the tower between 1839 and 1873, and it then stood abandoned until 1914, when First World War troops took it over again, and in World War II it was used as an observation post. Din l-Art Ħelwa restored it between 1997 and 1999. It was a filming location for Treasure in Malta (1963) and Among Wolves (1985).
