Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A slim lighthouse tower

A lighthouse tower is a small, slender form. Print friendly keeps it sturdy at a small size; a larger print with Full detail keeps more of the finer parts.

  2. One piece with the ground

Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site

Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site is on Fisgard Island in Colwood, British Columbia, at the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour. Its lighthouse was the first on Canada's west coast. The Colony of Vancouver Island's British colonial government built it in 1859–60, and it first shone its light on November 16, 1860. The island took its name from HMS Fisgard, a ship of the British Navy that surveyed it in 1848.

The lighthouse and the red brick residence attached to it, described as picturesque gothic, were designed by John Wright and Hermann Otto Tiedemann, both architects. A local legend says the brick and stone came from Britain as ballast, but local brick yards and quarries supplied them. The white tower is 14.6 meters (48 ft) tall, and its cast-iron spiral staircase was produced in San Francisco in sections. The lighthouse was automated in 1929 and has stayed in continuous operation, although a fire in 1957 knocked it out of service for a year.

Canada formally designated it a National Historic Site on November 3, 1958. A causeway built in the 1950s links it with Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site, and Parks Canada administers the two sites jointly. Inside the former keeper's residence are exhibits on the site's history.
