About King Abdullah Sports City

King Abdullah Sports City Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium about 30 km north of downtown Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is the main venue within the King Abdullah Sports City complex, which carries the name of Abdullah, the king of Saudi Arabia at the time of the stadium's opening. Football is played in the main stadium, named King Abdullah International Stadium. No stadium in Jeddah is bigger, and it is one of the biggest in Asia, with smaller sports venues around it.

Beyond the main stadium, the complex has three football fields, four small indoor arenas that double as football venues, six tennis courts, plus one large indoor arena that serves sports and other uses. It also has a main mosque, six smaller mosques and a comprehensive media center. Games in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup were played at the stadium, and WWE staged its Greatest Royal Rumble event there on April 27, 2018.

The contractor was a joint venture of Al Muhaidib Contracting Company and the Belgian construction company BESIX Group. The complex opened on May 1, 2014, with a King's Cup final in which Riyadh's Al-Shabab beat Jeddah's Al-Ahli SC 3–0 in front of 62,241 fans. The pitch is paspalum turfgrass supplied by Atlas Turf International.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 17 mm 1:4,063
200 mm 21 mm 1:3,250

An open lattice wall
The outer wall is an open lattice of diagonal braces on thin columns. Print friendly adapts these thin members to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
A broad ring roof
The ring roof projects out over the lattice below it. A larger print size and slower printing help keep its edge clean.
One piece with the ground
King Abdullah Sports City is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. King Abdullah Sports City takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. King Abdullah Sports City grows with the print: about 17 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
