Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Slender pyramid crown

The tower is tall and narrow, ending in a sharp pyramid. Print slowly with good cooling so the tip stays clean, and try Print friendly so the thinnest part of the crown holds up.

  2. Fine vertical ribbing

The shaft carries fine vertical lines and stepped corners near the top. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a larger print size keep that vertical detail crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Messeturm is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Messeturm takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Messeturm

The Messeturm, or Trade Fair Tower, rises 257 m (843 ft) in Frankfurt's Westend-Süd district, with 63 stories. It stands near the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds but houses offices, not exhibitions. It was Europe's tallest building from its completion in 1990 until the Commerzbank Tower, also in Frankfurt, overtook it in 1997.

Messe Frankfurt held a design competition in 1985 for a new office tower, and the Chicago firm Murphy/Jahn won it. Helmut Jahn gave the tower a postmodern design, and it is regarded as a design classic among European skyscrapers. Building work started on July 13, 1988, and the first finished office floors were occupied on October 1, 1990.

The tower's plan starts as a square, turns cylindrical higher up, and ends in a pyramid 36.3 m (119.1 ft) tall. Its ground floor covers only 18,090 sq ft (1,681 m2). Locals often call it Bleistift, meaning pencil, because of its shape. Its foundation pour was a world record: the longest continuous concrete pour, with ninety trucks delivering for 78 hours.

About this model

The Messeturm is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
