About Frankfurt
Frankfurt, formally Frankfurt am Main, is Hesse's most populous city, with 778,589 inhabitants in 2025. It lies on the river Main in the Taunus foreland, and more than 2.7 million people live in its urban area. The city is the heart of the Rhine-Main metropolitan region, home to more than 5.8 million, and hosts the European Central Bank. A document of 794 first mentions Frankfurt, and it became an imperial city in 1372. It was a city state for nearly five centuries and hosted Imperial coronations; it lost its sovereignty in 1806, got it back in 1815 and lost it again in 1866, when Prussia annexed it.
Several of Europe's tallest skyscrapers define Frankfurt's skyline, which has been called Mainhattan. Westend Gate and Silberturm, built in the 1970s during the first high-rise boom, became Germany's tallest buildings. In the 1990s a second wave followed: Messeturm, 256.5 m (842 ft) high, was Europe's tallest building by 1991, and the 259 m (850 ft) Commerzbank Tower overtook it in 1997. The IG Farben Building, designed by Hans Poelzig and built from 1928 to 1930, remained Europe's largest office building until the 1950s. The Goethe House, destroyed in World War II, was rebuilt in 1947 true to the original.

Common questions
Are these Frankfurt landmark models free?
Yes. All 3 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Frankfurt landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Frankfurt landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 14 and 81 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
