18 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 1350 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall towers on a wide base
Slender towers rise from a long, low podium, so the print is wide with a few tall points. Print the towers slowly with good cooling; a larger print size helps them hold their detail.
- Fine tower ribbing
The towers have fine vertical and horizontal lines. Print friendly adapts these to your print scale; a 0.12-0.16 mm layer height keeps the finer ones sharp.
- One piece with the ground
Palms Casino Resort is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Palms Casino Resort takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Palms Casino Resort
Palms Casino Resort is a hotel-casino that sits close to the Las Vegas Strip, within the Nevada community of Paradise. George Maloof bought the Flamingo Road site in 1997, with construction starting in 2000. Jerde Partnership International designed the project, and KGA Architecture was the executive architect. Its doors opened on November 15, 2001, with a 42-story hotel along with a casino, restaurants and nightclubs.
The hotel tower was first planned at 40 stories, but the floor count was raised so it would top the nearby Rio, which stood at 41 stories. The resort catered to both locals and tourists and became popular with celebrities and young adults. It was the primary setting of a reality TV series from 2002, The Real World: Las Vegas.
Later additions followed. The 40-story Fantasy Tower opened in 2005, and a recording studio came too; no other casino resort had one before. A Playboy Club arrived in the Fantasy Tower in 2006, the first of its kind to open for several decades. In 2007 the Pearl Concert Theater joined as a music venue, and a year later Palms Place, a condo hotel in a high-rise, opened on the property.
