8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Thin central spire
The tall central spire ends in a small statue. Print slowly with cooling for the tip; Print friendly adapts it, and Full detail keeps the statue on a larger print.
- Stepped roofs and pinnacles
Several roof levels carry small pinnacles. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Phoenix Arizona Temple is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Phoenix Arizona Temple takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Phoenix Arizona Temple
In Phoenix, Arizona, stands a Latter-day Saints temple, part of the LDS Church. Completed in 2014, it is the church's 144th temple and the fifth in Arizona. The architectural firm CCBG Architects designed it. The design blends desert-inspired architecture with traditional Latter-day Saint temple design, and a single attached central spire carries a statue of the angel Moroni.
The structure stands one story tall and is built from precast integral colored concrete panels, with carved detailing on the tower that supports the statue. The temple sits on a plot of 5.19 acres with three fountains and desert trees and shrubs. Its exterior color was changed from white, the traditional choice, to a more natural stone color, and a redesign capped the structural height at 30 feet (9.1 m) to meet zoning rules. Inside, motifs include an aloe stalk and designs of desert tree leaves, in terracotta, turquoise and other earth tones.
Ground was broken on June 4, 2011, in a ceremony conducted by Ronald A. Rasband. After construction, an open house for the public ran October 10 through November 1, 2014, and Thomas S. Monson dedicated the temple on November 16, 2014. Sunday worship services are not held in it, as in the church's other temples.
