Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Long, low wings

The museum is a cluster of long, low blocks, so most of the detail is in roof edges and the stepped outline. A larger print size and 0.12-0.16 mm layers keep those edges crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Phoenix Art Museum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Phoenix Art Museum takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Phoenix Art Museum

The Phoenix Art Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, is described as the largest visual-art museum in the southwest United States. The building has 285,000 sq ft (26,500 m2) of space, and the collection spans Latin American, Western American, Asian, European and American art, plus modern and contemporary pieces and fashion design.

Doors opened on November 18, 1959, with an official dedication three days later. In the early 1950s the architect Alden Dow was retained to design a complex that would also house the Phoenix Public Library and the Phoenix Little Theater, with Severud Associates as structural engineers. A 1965 expansion grew the museum from 25,000 sq ft (2,300 m2) to 72,000 sq ft (6,700 m2). Further expansions in 1996 and 2006 were led by the New York firm Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, as design architects.

The 2006 work brought the Katz Wing for Modern Art and the Bennett and Jacquie Dorrance Sculpture Garden, which covers 40,000 sq ft (3,700 m2). The new entrance from the north parking has a cantilevered canopy that forms a large outdoor pavilion. Besides its galleries, the museum has been a community center since 1959, with independent art films, festivals, live performances and educational programs.
