Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Domed rotundas

The two low rotundas have ribbed domes and fluted rims. Print friendly adapts these fine details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  2. Tall curved tower

The curved tower is a tall slab with a fine grid of window ribs. Print slowly, and use a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm to keep the grid crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Phoenix Financial Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Phoenix Financial Center takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Phoenix Financial Center

The Phoenix Financial Center is a complex on Central Avenue, in Phoenix's Midtown district, made up of one high-rise office building plus two neighboring rotunda buildings. The Financial Corporation of Arizona built it in 1963; ground was broken that September, and it was dedicated on September 28, 1964. Wenceslaus Sarmiento was the architect, and the complex is a case of International style architecture with many Googie elements.

The tower faces Osborn Avenue, and locals commonly call it the "Punchcard Building" because its southeastern facade resembles a computer punch card. It started with 10 stories, and nine more were added in 1972, when the building became the headquarters of Western Savings and Loan. The plans allowed for a second tower, a twin of the first, planned for the property's north side, but it was never built.

The two rotundas face Central Avenue and mirror each other. Each has two stories and a basement, with glass around most of its circumference and a stained glass star atop the dome (the two stars differ slightly). The 2000 movie What Planet Are You From?, directed by Mike Nichols, filmed at the complex, which appears as the workplace of the main character.
