6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 800 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Long, low station
Two long building complexes stretch across the model, joined by a wavy-roofed link. A larger print keeps that layout readable; Print friendly adapts thin roof edges at the default size.
- Layer height for the roof
The connecting roof is the station's main horizontal line. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep its edge clean.
- One piece with the ground
Potsdam Hauptbahnhof is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Potsdam Hauptbahnhof takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Potsdam Hauptbahnhof
Potsdam Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in Potsdam, the capital of Brandenburg, Germany. It stands on the Berlin–Magdeburg railway, which first reached the city in 1838; that line is among Germany's oldest railways still in operation. The station took its present name in 1999, having been Bahnhof Potsdam before and Potsdam Stadt from 1960.
The Berlin S-Bahn's line S7 ends at the station after running from Ahrensfelde. A central bus station connects the station with the city of Potsdam and with the southwestern region of Berlin. Trams of the Potsdam network also call at the station. Deutsche Bahn classes the station as a category 2 station.
Work began in 1997 to demolish the old station and replace it with a design from Gerkan, Marg and Partners. A wavy roof crowns the link between two long building complexes, and the platform extensions are built into that link. A new forecourt at the south entrance holds bus and tram platforms, while the Bahnhofspassagen development brought a shopping center, a cinema and office and commercial areas.
About this model
Potsdam Hauptbahnhof is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
