Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Towers and steep roofs

A castle model carries its smallest detail in towers, gables and roof edges. Print friendly adapts those parts at small sizes; Full detail keeps them for a larger print or a finer nozzle.

  2. Layers along the roofline

The roofline steps through several heights, so layer lines show there first. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the edges crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

Schlosshotel Kronberg is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Schlosshotel Kronberg takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Schlosshotel Kronberg

Schlosshotel Kronberg, also called Castle Hotel Kronberg, sits in Kronberg im Taunus, in Hesse near Frankfurt am Main. Empress Victoria, widow of Emperor Frederick III, had it built between 1889 and 1893, and it was originally named Schloss Friedrichshof in honor of her husband. The House of Hesse owns the castle and its park, and the building operates as a five-star hotel.

Victoria was the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria; her father was Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The castle was where she spent most of her time until she died in 1901; its entire contents, including the art and her letters, went to Princess Margaret of Prussia, her youngest daughter and Landgravine of Hesse.

After World War II the castle became an officers' club during the American occupation. Margaret's son Wolfgang hid the family jewels inside a zinc-lined box in the castle's subcellar, and in 1945 the club manager, Captain Kathleen Nash, stole them with Jack Durant and David Watson. Many pieces were broken up and their stones sold; only 10 percent was recovered. Fire damaged the building in 1967.
