12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall bell tower and spire
The slender bell tower ends in a pointed spire with a small cross. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to your print scale; Full detail keeps them for larger prints. Slow printing with cooling helps the tip.
- Rows of small arches
The long side walls and the rounded apse carry rows of small arched openings. A layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and a larger print size preserves more of them.
- One piece with the ground
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bayonne is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bayonne takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bayonne
In Bayonne, New Jersey, the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church parish belongs to the Archdiocese of Newark, within Deanery 13. The National Register of Historic Places listed its parish church on August 24, 2011, recognizing its architecture and art. The parish was founded in 1894 and mainly served Irish, Scottish and German immigrants of the area.
A new wooden Gothic Revival church replaced a rented hall as the congregation's home in 1905. Work on the Lombardy Romanesque church that stands there began in 1927, and it was finished in 1930. The Boston firm Maginnis & Walsh, which specialized in church design, drew up the plans for a granite Romanesque Revival building that replaced the older Gothic one, judged impractical.
The church and rectory hold more than 40 stained glass windows made at the Harry Clarke Studio in Dublin, Ireland, created to tell the parish's history. No other church in North America has examples of his work. A Hinners Organ Company organ dates from 1930. Early Irish parishioners are honored by a Celtic cross that workers carved into a cut stone near the top of the front facade.
