8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Retain the roof ornaments
Small points and raised ornaments line the detailed roof sections. Print friendly adapts these features at smaller scales; Full detail suits a larger print.
- Resolve the facade relief
Rows of arched window details and narrow decorative edges cover the facade. Choose a larger print with 0.12–0.16 mm layers to help separate these features from the wall surfaces.
- One piece with the ground
The State Library of South Australia is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The State Library of South Australia takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the State Library of South Australia
On Adelaide's North Terrace, the State Library of South Australia serves as the state's official library. It is South Australia's largest public research library, concentrating on material about the state. Legal deposit requirements make it a repository for publications produced there, including printed and audiovisual works. Rare books sit alongside maps, manuscripts, and ephemera in its holdings. The South Australiana collection documents the state's history, reaching back before European settlement, while the library also maintains general reference resources across many formats.
The collection developed through earlier societies and subscription libraries. In 1861, the Institute Building opened to house the South Australian Institute's books. Colonial architect E. J. Woods designed the Mortlock Chamber, a dedicated library building that opened in 1884. Further additions brought the Bastyan Wing in 1967 and the Spence Wing in 2003. The latter has a glass foyer and joins the Bastyan and Mortlock wings. The Institute Building and Mortlock Wing both have state heritage listings within this expanded library complex.
