Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Roofline with dormers and chimneys

The roof is busy with gables, dormers and chimneys. Print friendly adapts the thin ones to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps them all.

  2. Detailed facade

Rows of windows and arches cover the walls. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

Winants Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Winants Hall takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Winants Hall

In New Brunswick, New Jersey, Winants Hall is a historic building of Rutgers University's Queens Campus. Van Campen Taylor designed it and it was finished in 1890. It holds the title of oldest dormitory building at Rutgers University, which was then known as Rutgers College. Garrett E. Winants, a Bayonne businessman and trustee, gave the building to the college, and it cost $75,000.

Winants laid the cornerstone on June 18, 1889. By September 1890 the building was finished and housed about 85 students, who chose rooms by seniority. Students lived in it from 1890 to 1947. In 1896 Amanda Winants, Garrett's wife, gave another $10,000 for repairs.

Before the hall, Rutgers men had lived in boarding houses, commuted, or lived in fraternity houses. The hall became a gathering place, hosting guests, celebrations, alumni dinners and meetings for various associations. A historic district on its Queens Campus lists the hall as a contributing property, and that district entered the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, on July 2.
