11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Roof masts and light slot
A-frame masts with stays stand above the end roofs, and a glazed slot separates the top rows from the roof on three sides. Print friendly adapts these thin parts; a taller print keeps the masts straight.
- Exhibition hall and roof trusses
A rounded hall joins the stadium's west side through a link block, and deep trusses run under the flat roof. Full detail keeps the ribbing and the link; a fine layer height helps.
- One piece with the ground
Coventry Building Society Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Coventry Building Society Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Coventry Building Society Arena
The Coventry Building Society Arena, once the Ricoh Arena, is a sports and events complex in Coventry, in England's West Midlands. It holds a 32,609-seater stadium, home to Coventry City, alongside a hotel, a casino and a 6,000 square meter (64,600 sq ft) exhibition hall. It stands where the Foleshill gasworks once stood and takes its name from its sponsor, Coventry Building Society, under a ten-year deal agreed in 2021. Naming sponsorship was banned at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2022 Commonwealth Games; the ground became the City of Coventry Stadium, then Coventry Stadium.
The stadium replaced Coventry City's Highfield Road ground, a move decided in 1997 by the club's chairman at the time, Bryan Richardson. Permission came in spring 1999 for 45,000 seats, but the venue arrived four years late and plainer than planned. The original design had a retractable roof and a sliding pitch that uncovered a hard floor; after the club's relegation and other setbacks, the plans were cut down, and by the summer of 2002 a more basic 32,500-seat scheme was in place.
Coventry City began playing there in 2005–06, after 106 years at Highfield Road. The first competitive match, against Queens Park Rangers on August 20, 2005, was watched by a crowd of 23,012, reduced for safety reasons, and ended 3–0 to Coventry. Dame Kelly Holmes and the sports minister Richard Caborn performed the official opening on February 24, 2007. The stadium was the first cashless ground in the United Kingdom, with a prepay smartcard used in its bars, and a bronze statue of the manager Jimmy Hill, paid for by supporters, was unveiled at the entrance on July 28, 2011.
