About Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey, formally the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter, is an Anglican church standing in the City of Westminster in London, England. Forty English and British monarchs have been crowned there since 1066, and 18 monarchs of England, Scotland and Britain are buried in it. At least 16 royal weddings have been held there since 1100. An abbey of Benedictine monks existed there by the middle of the 10th century. King Edward the Confessor commissioned the church's first large building, dating from the 1040s, and is buried inside it.
Henry III ordered the present church to be built, and work began in 1245. He wanted a shrine for Edward and a burial place for his own family. In 1559 the monastery was dissolved, and Elizabeth I made the church a royal peculiar, answerable directly to the monarch. Its Gothic design mostly follows 13th-century French and English styles, with some Romanesque sections and later Baroque and modern ones. At the east end stands the Henry VII Chapel, a typical Perpendicular Gothic work.
More than 3,300 people are buried at the abbey. Among them are scientists and musicians, actors and poets laureate, prime ministers and military leaders, as well as monarchs and the Unknown Warrior. The artist William Morris called it a National Valhalla because of the fame of those buried there. In 1987 UNESCO listed it as a World Heritage Site, along with St Margaret's Church and the Palace of Westminster.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 19 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 24 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Twin towers and many pinnacles
- The two west towers and the pinnacles along the roofline are slender. Print slowly with good cooling, and try Print friendly so the thinnest points adapt to the print scale.
- East end chapels and buttresses
- The east end bunches small chapels and buttresses into a tight ring. Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print; layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep their vertical lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- Westminster Abbey is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Westminster Abbey takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there a Westminster Abbey STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Westminster Abbey grows with the print: about 19 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
