15 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Diamonds over the whole skin
A lattice of large diamonds wraps the outside of the bowl, their lower points reaching the ground between lifted arches. Print friendly adapts the thinnest ribs; Full detail keeps the pattern whole.
- Zigzag edge and chevron bands
The top edge steps up and down in a zigzag, with thin chevron louver bands running below it. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep those fine stripes from blurring together.
- One piece with the ground
Education City Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Education City Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Education City Stadium
Education City Stadium is a football ground in Al Rayyan, Qatar, about 7 km (4.3 mi) northwest of Doha on the edge of the capital. It sits within the Qatar Foundation's Education City, among several university campuses, and was put up as a venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Building started in 2016 and finished in June 2020, the third of the World Cup stadiums to be completed; the official opening came on June 15, 2020, and the first official match followed on September 3, 2020, a 2020–21 Qatar Stars League fixture.
The ground seats 40,000 people and carries the nickname "Diamond in the Desert". 20 percent of the materials it was built from were identified as green, and in May 2019 it was given a five-star GSAS rating. JPAC JV was the contractor, working with Pattern Design, the lead design architect, and the engineers Buro Happold.
Eight matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup were played at the ground. It had already served at the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, where Bayern Munich met UANL in the final, and the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup brought five matches to the stadium. In April 2023 it was named as one of the host grounds for the AFC Asian Cup.
