Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A needle-thin spire

A very thin spire rises from the dome. Print slowly with good cooling, use layers of 0.12–0.16 mm so the tip stays crisp, and let Print friendly adapt it to the print scale.

  2. Fine lattice over the cylinder

A dense pattern of small shapes covers the whole tower. Print friendly simplifies it for the print scale; Full detail keeps it, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Doha Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Doha Tower takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Doha Tower

The Doha Tower, also called Burj Doha, is a high-rise in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. The French architect Jean Nouvel designed the $125-million office building. It stands 238 m (781 ft) tall with 46 stories above ground and three below, and its total gross floor area is approximately 110,000 m2. The tower is a cylinder with a base 45 m (148 ft) in diameter, and a dome crowns the top.

The project was first named the Doha High Rise Office Building in 2004, and its owner branded it Burj Doha once construction finished in 2012. People informally called it Burj Qatar before the Government of Qatar officially renamed it the Doha Tower. Inside, diagrid columns of reinforced concrete form an X shape, and the tower is described as the first skyscraper with internal columns of that kind.

On the facade, multi-layered patterns recall ancient Islamic screens that shade buildings from the sun. The design joins a thoroughly modern building to old Islamic motifs, and the screens were also meant to shield it from high temperatures and from sand that settles on glass across the area. Another Nouvel design, the Torre Glòries tower in Barcelona, which is cylindrical too, served as conceptual inspiration. On October 18, 2012, the tower received the CTBUH Skyscraper Award.

About this model

The Doha Tower is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
