9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 750 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Horseshoe roof edge
The thin roof wraps three sides and ends square at the open north end. Print friendly adapts the narrow eave and its seams; a larger print keeps the open end clear.
- Drums and open top storey
Cylindrical stair drums stand proud of the glass facade, under a recessed top storey with slanted struts. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the drums and struts distinct.
- One piece with the ground
The Estádio Cidade de Coimbra is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Estádio Cidade de Coimbra takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra
The Estádio Cidade de Coimbra is a municipal stadium in Coimbra, Portugal, owned by the municipality. Académica de Coimbra's football team is its main user, and the ground has 29,622 seats, with cover over two-thirds of them. It was rebuilt and expanded to host matches at UEFA Euro 2004. The complex also has a large press center.
The design is modern rather than historical, with glass façades and a roof resting on the stands. It was produced by the Portuguese firm Plarq with KSS Design Group of London, and the Plarq team was led by architect António Monteiro. The bowl has two tiers, the upper one in a U shape, and the existing athletics track was kept.
The rebuilt stadium's opening event was a Rolling Stones concert on September 27, 2003, with around 50,000 people there. The first official match followed on October 29, 2003, when Académica hosted Benfica, and concerts at the ground can draw up to 50,000. It has also hosted international rugby matches for the Portugal national rugby team.
