15 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Sagging cables and hangers
Four corner pylons carry cables that hang in a curve over the roof, with hanger bars dropping to it. These are the finest parts of the print: Full detail and a larger size keep them, and slow printing helps.
- Vault over the main stand
The main stand's roof rises as a faceted vault with hipped ends, well above the thin flat blades over the other three sides. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the vault's edges and the glazed box band crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Jassim bin Hamad Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Jassim bin Hamad Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Jassim bin Hamad Stadium
Al Rayyan, in Qatar, holds the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, which stands in Fereej Al Soudan, a district roughly 5 kilometers (3 miles) west of the center of Doha. Al Sadd Sports Club's football team, of the top-flight Qatar Stars League, plays there, and the national teams of Qatar, both men's and women's, sometimes use it as one of their home grounds.
The name belongs to the man who was Qatar's Minister of Youth and Sports at the time, Jassim bin Hamad, and who let Al Sadd's founding members form the group in 1969. The ground dates from 1975 and was renovated for the Arabian Gulf Cup of 2004, its 17th edition, when every match of the competition was played there, and again in 2010.
Modern and traditional Qatari elements meet in the design, and the exterior borrows the shape of the sails on traditional dhow boats. There are approximately 12,946 seats, and a retractable roof allows climate control during events. Three matches in the FIFA Club World Cup of 2019 took place there, as did the football tournament of the 2006 Asian Games and two editions of the Supercoppa Italiana, the Italian super cup.
