12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Arched truss along the roof
A prismatic white truss arches the full length of the roof, just behind its front edge. Print friendly adapts the thin chords and webs; Full detail keeps them for a large print.
- Corner tripods under the springing
Each end of the truss lands on a heavy three-legged casting clear of the roof ends. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm and slower printing help those raking legs.
- One piece with the ground
Kirklees Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Kirklees Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Kirklees Stadium
In Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, Kirklees Stadium provides 24,121 places and serves as the football ground of Huddersfield Town. It was built for both Town and Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Club, which moved from Leeds Road in 1994 after a two-year groundshare. Naming rights have moved from the builders Alfred McAlpine to Galpharm International in 2004, then in 2012 to Heineken's John Smith's Brewery, and to Accu in 2025.
The decision to build came in August 1992 and construction began the following year, finishing before the 1994–95 season began. Populous designed it and Alfred McAlpine built it, the estimated cost was £40 million, and its RIBA Building of the Year award dates from 1995. At first only the two side stands stood complete, the Riverside and the Kilner Bank; the South Stand opened in December 1994 and the North Stand was completed in 1998.
World Cup rugby league fixtures came to the ground in 1995, 2000, 2013 and 2021, and the 1999 Rugby World Cup also used it. Huddersfield Town's first match there, on August 20, 1994, ended in a 1–0 defeat by Wycombe Wanderers with 13,334 spectators present, and the biggest football crowd, 24,263, came for a match with Liverpool on October 20, 2018. R.E.M. gave the first concerts on July 25 and 26, 1995, before around 80,000 people.
About this model
