21 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall steel arch and cables
A tall, slim arch spans the roof, with thin cables running down to it. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them. Print slowly, with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- Domed roof with fine lines
A wide domed roof carries fine ribs and small roof fittings. A bigger print size keeps more of them, and Full detail suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
Lanxess Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Lanxess Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Lanxess Arena
Lanxess Arena is an indoor venue in Cologne, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and its name is written LANXESS arena in the venue's own styling. Originally it was called Kölnarena, which means "Cologne arena". The Kölner Haie make the arena their home, with room for 18,500, and it is also one of the major music venues in Germany.
A steel arch spans the arena, and steel cables run from the arch to the roof and carry it. The arch measures 76 m (249 ft) in height and weighs 480 tons. Kölnarena became Lanxess Arena after an announcement on June 2, 2008. The name comes from its sponsor, Lanxess AG, a specialty chemicals group with its base at the Lanxess Tower, in the Deutz part of Cologne.
Ice hockey's Kölner Haie, handball's VfL Gummersbach and basketball's Köln RheinStars all use the arena, which also stages concerts. Games at the world men's handball championship of 2007 included the final and the third place game. On June 13, 2009, UFC 99 took place at the arena, the first time the UFC made its way to Germany. For the 2010 IIHF World Championship, it hosted the two semi-finals, the bronze medal match and the title game.
