Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Props under the rear block

The tall rear block overhangs the street on thin raking props above a brick ground floor. These slender members want Full detail and a print big enough to resolve them.

  2. Roof falling to the pitch

The roof is a single slope, high at the street wall and dropping to a deep fascia over the seats. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps that edge and the tier steps clean.

  3. One piece with the ground

Portman Road is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Portman Road takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Portman Road

Portman Road, in Ipswich, Suffolk, is an English football ground and has belonged to Ipswich Town since 1884. England youth teams have played there often, and the senior side met Croatia in a friendly in 2003. Athletics meetings, international hockey, concerts and Christian events have also filled the calendar over the years.

Ipswich Town arrived in 1884. A crowd of 38,010, the biggest the ground has seen, watched Leeds United visit in March 1975. On the Taylor Report's advice all four stands became all-seater during the early 1990s, and work in the early 2000s lifted capacity from 22,600 past 30,000, which left it with the biggest capacity of any football ground in East Anglia.

Cricket came first: the East Suffolk Cricket Club had used the field since 1855 and built its pavilion, the ground's first fixed structure. A wooden stand nicknamed the Chicken Run arrived in 1906, and the first Football League fixture, a 4-2 win over Southend United, was played on August 27, 1938 before more than 19,000 people. A statue of Sir Alf Ramsey stands at Portman Road's corner with Sir Alf Ramsey Way.
