11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- The low roof dome
The roof rises only a little above the eave and meets a thin parapet and a white lip. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the shallow curve and that lip crisp.
- Fins, towers and glass bands
Thin vertical fins cover the annex, white staircase boxes stand against the drum, and two glazed bands run round it. Print larger, or slow down, so those parts stay separate.
- One piece with the ground
The Veikkaus Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Veikkaus Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Veikkaus Arena
Veikkaus Arena is a multi-functional indoor venue in Helsinki, Finland, the home of Jokerit. It opened in April 1997 and can be arranged for different events. For ice hockey the seated capacity is 13,349; basketball about 14,000 and concerts up to 15,000, while the same hall arranged as an amphitheater seats between 3,000 and 5,000.
Harry “Hjallis” Harkimo first proposed the arena in 1994, and the building was meant to be ready for the 1997 Ice Hockey World Championships. The constructor handed it over on April 11, 1997. It is elliptical, 153 m long and 123 m wide, with a practice arena 37 m underground that many hockey teams use, and it links to a multi-story parking garage for 1,421 vehicles.
The arena stands beside Pasila railway station, the second busiest in Finland, and it lies 3.5 km north of Helsinki's Central Station. The building carried the name Hartwall Areena until 2014, and Hartwall Arena after that until March 2, 2022. On October 2, 2009 it held the first NHL game played in Finland, and it was the main venue for the 2012 IIHF World Championship.
About this model
The Veikkaus Arena is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
