Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Overhanging roof edge

The roof projects beyond the walls on slender columns, with fine trusses and mullions beneath it. At small sizes use Print friendly to adapt those thin parts; a larger print keeps the roof edge sharper.

  2. Glass facade mullions

The glazed sides are modeled with repeated vertical mullions and horizontal transoms. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm and a slightly larger print help these fine lines stay separate.

  3. One piece with the ground

Volkswagen Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Volkswagen Arena takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Volkswagen Arena

The Volkswagen Arena is a football stadium in Wolfsburg, in the German state of Lower Saxony. It opened in 2002, and its name comes from the automotive group Volkswagen AG. VfL Wolfsburg plays its home matches there, and the ground stands in the Allerpark.

The ground holds 30,000 spectators: of those places, 22,000 are seats and 8,000 are standing. VfL Wolfsburg's promotion to the Bundesliga in 1997 led the Volkswagen Group to strengthen its support for the club. The old ground, the VfL-Stadion am Elsterweg, fell short of Bundesliga standards, and construction of the new stadium began in 2001.

The stadium's most striking feature is its roof, a truss-supported membrane structure. Thirty-two radial trusses, each 40 meters long, carry a translucent, fire-retardant PVC membrane covering 15,000 square meters. Construction took 19 months and finished in December 2002, and the stadium opened officially on December 13, 2002, at a cost of €53 million.

About this model

Volkswagen Arena is one of more than 4,900 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
