About Angel Stadium

Angel Stadium, in Anaheim, California, United States, is a ballpark that was originally and colloquially called Anaheim Stadium. Ground was broken on August 31, 1964, and the team moved in for 1966 after four seasons renting Dodger Stadium. The Angels, a Major League Baseball team, have played their home games there since it opened in 1966. It was renamed Edison International Field in 1997, then Angel Stadium after the 2003 season.

The stadium stands on roughly 0.65 km² (160 acres) of flat ground in the southeast portion of Anaheim, land that had been used for agriculture. Katella Avenue (north), the Orange Freeway (east), Orangewood Avenue (south) and State College Boulevard (west) roughly frame the site. Bud Furillo, sports editor of the Herald Examiner, came up with the unofficial nickname The Big A, which comes from a sign that began as the support for a left-field scoreboard. The sign is 70 m (230 feet) tall and weighs 210 tons.

The Los Angeles Rams also played here from 1980 to 1994. To add about 23,000 seats for football, the mezzanine and upper tiers were wrapped fully around the field, giving a roughly trapezoidal, completely enclosed stadium. The ballpark hosted the MLB All-Star Game in 1967, 1989 and 2010, and the World Series in 2002. Concerts there have included The Who (1970), Pink Floyd (1977) and the Rolling Stones (1978, 2002, 2005).

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 9 mm 1:4,063
200 mm 11 mm 1:3,250
256 mm 14 mm 1:2,539

Open framing under the stands
The tiered stands rest on many thin posts and cross beams. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print, ideally with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
Scoreboards on slim legs
The large scoreboard panels stand on slender supports. Print slowly with good cooling, and choose a larger print size to keep them intact.
One piece with the ground
Angel Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Angel Stadium takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Angel Stadium is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there an Angel Stadium STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Angel Stadium grows with the print: about 9 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
