About Arena do Grêmio

Arena do Grêmio is a stadium for multiple uses in Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The inauguration took place on December 8, 2012. Football matches are its main use, and Grêmio uses it as its home stadium in place of the Estádio Olímpico Monumental. Maximum capacity is 60,540. The site is a mile from Porto Alegre's international airport.

The club started viability studies in 2006. Its aim was a self-sustaining stadium, a contrast with the Estádio Olímpico Monumental, which was already falling apart. PLARQ, an architectural firm, handled the design and concept. The complex around the arena includes a hotel, a mall, housing and condominiums, parking, and a conference and congress center.

Sisbrace is the Brazilian Ministry of Sport's evaluation system for football stadiums, and the arena received its highest rating in all aspects. It was left off the host list for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Five matches of the 2019 Copa América were played there, after the arena was picked as a venue.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes

Roof ribs and facade bars
The stadium's roof is divided into many thin ribs, and its facade has fine vertical bars. Print friendly merges the smallest ones; Full detail keeps them at larger sizes and a finer layer height.
One piece with the ground
Arena do Grêmio is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Arena do Grêmio takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there an Arena do Grêmio STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Arena do Grêmio grows with the print: about 16 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
