172 m of the Avaz Twist Tower, 48 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Twisting shaft and crown
The faceted shaft turns as it rises and ends in a stepped circular crown with a pale cap. Print friendly keeps the twist and crown outline; Full detail preserves the turning mullions and crown ribs.
- Lattice mast and dishes
A tall lattice antenna with dishes rises above the cap. Print it slowly with good cooling, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers so the thin mast members survive.
- One piece with the ground
The Avaz Twist Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Avaz Twist Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Avaz Twist Tower
Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, holds the Avaz Twist Tower, a 40-story skyscraper that serves as headquarters for the newspaper company Dnevni avaz. It stands 172 meters (564 ft) tall in the Marijin Dvor neighborhood of the city's central municipality. Work on the skyscraper started in 2006 and ended in 2008.
The tower is notable for its own distinctive twisted facade. It is also the tallest building across the former Yugoslavia. For 15 years following the tower's completion, it ranked as the tallest building in the Balkans beyond Turkey, until the Sky Fort tower in Sofia, Bulgaria, reached its full height in 2023.
In 2009 the German toy manufacturer Schuco selected the tower as one of the world's 10 most beautiful buildings. A steak restaurant called BOHO Steak House occupies the 31st floor, the café Sky Lounge 35 is located on the 35th floor, and an observation deck sits on the 36th floor.
