2 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Long roof and door sets
The hangar is a long, shallow-pitched shed with three broad sliding-door groups. Print friendly simplifies the door rails and mullions at small sizes; Full detail keeps them for a large print.
- High window ribbon
A continuous band of tall panes runs under the eaves, with thin mullions between heavier posts. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm help that fine rhythm stay readable.
- One piece with the ground
The Calshot main flying boat hangar is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Calshot main flying boat hangar takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Calshot main flying boat hangar
The Calshot main flying boat hangar, known as the Sunderland Hangar, is a former flying boat hangar at Calshot in Hampshire, England. It dates from 1918 and was built as an 'F' type hangar, with a steel frame, corrugated asbestos or metal cladding, and a roof of the same material, on a rectangular plan covering about 5,704 square meters.
Of the three surviving seaplane hangars at the Calshot site, this one is the largest. The Schneider, Sopwith and Sunderland Hangars still exist and are part of an activity center that includes climbing, skiing, snowboarding and track cycling, plus bouldering and obstacle courses.
