About Chase Field

Formerly known as Bank One Ballpark, Chase Field is a stadium with a retractable roof in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It is home to Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks and opened in 1998, when the team made its debut as an expansion club. It was the first U.S. stadium to put a retractable roof above natural grass, though the team replaced the grass with synthetic turf for the 2019 season. After Bank One merged with JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2005, Chase took over the naming rights.

The park went up during a 1990s wave of baseball-only ballparks, nearly all of them open-air. A domed stadium was taken for granted as a necessity in Phoenix, North America's hottest major city by a wide margin, with a regular-season average high of 99.1 °F (37.3 °C). On summer days it is common to see well over 100 °F (38 °C) at game time. Construction began in 1996 and finished just before the first season in 1998. Cost estimates in 1995 stood at $279 million, but overruns pushed the total to $364 million.

Chase Field has a swimming pool in right-center field, which was rented as a suite for 35 guests during the 2011 season and has been there since the stadium opened. A strip of dirt linking home plate to the mound, called the keyhole, remained until 2019. In the 2001 World Series, the park staged Games 1, 2, 6 and 7 against the New York Yankees; all four home games went to the Diamondbacks, who took the title in seven games. It also staged three games of the 2023 World Series, the third, fourth and fifth, against the Texas Rangers.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Arched roof with open trusses
The curved roof ends in an open frame of thin trusses. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best printed slowly with good cooling and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
Many fine roof ribs
The wide roof is cut into many fine ribs and panels. A larger print keeps them easier to read.
One piece with the ground
Chase Field is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Chase Field takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Chase Field is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Chase Field STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Chase Field grows with the print: about 21 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
