Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Print the facade larger

Small surface details blur at tabletop scale. A larger print keeps the facade lines clean, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers if the edges soften.

  2. One piece with the ground

Chetham's Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Chetham's Library takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Chetham's Library

In Manchester, England, Chetham's Library is a free public reference library with no older counterpart in the English-speaking world. The foundation behind Chetham's School of Music and the library, Chetham's Hospital, was set up in 1653 by the will of Humphrey Chetham. Its purposes were schooling for boys and a library for scholars, and the library has served readers without a break since 1653. It is run as an independent charity.

Shelves here carry more than 100,000 printed volumes. Of those, 60,000 appeared before 1851, among them a Nuremberg Chronicle with notes by Thomas Gudlawe. Manuscripts number over 1,000, and 41 of them are medieval. The shelves also hold periodicals, broadsides and ephemera, local history, and printed works from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is an Accredited Museum, and the collections carry a national and international Designation.

Humphrey Chetham's bequest paid for the college buildings in 1653. To keep the books safe from damp they were housed upstairs and chained to the presses, and twenty-four carved oak stools seated readers. Marx met Engels here during a Manchester visit in the summer of 1845, and the reading they did contributed to The Communist Manifesto. The former college building, Grade I listed, became the music school in 1969.
