Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. West tower and nave

The west tower carries this church's silhouette, while the long nave walls lose the most detail at print scale. Print larger, or let Print friendly adapt those parts; 0.12–0.16 mm layers help keep the tower edges sharp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Manchester Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Manchester Cathedral takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Manchester Cathedral

This is the parish church of Manchester and the bishop's seat for the Anglican diocese. Its dedication names three saints: Mary, Denys and George. The building stands on Victoria Street in the city center and has Grade I listed status, one of fifteen such listings in Manchester. Kept inside is the Angel Stone, a small carved angel with a scroll, found in the wall of the south porch.

The parish church here was rebuilt in Perpendicular Gothic style after a collegiate body was founded in 1421; in 1847 the new Diocese of Manchester made it its cathedral. James Stanley II, warden from 1485 to 1506 and later Bishop of Ely, rebuilt the nave and the collegiate choir, giving both high clerestory windows. The late-medieval wooden furnishings are his too: the pulpitum, the choir stalls, and a nave roof carried on angels with gilded instruments.

The stalls came from the Ripon workshop of William Brownflet, and the chancel arcades and clerestory are attributed on stylistic grounds to John Wastell. Chantry chapels added along the north and south sides in the early sixteenth century left the nave much wider than it is long, and the nave is commonly claimed to be the widest of any cathedral in England. The building was refaced, restored and extended in Victorian times, and again after bomb damage in World War II; bombing in 1940 destroyed the Ely Chapel, and the Lady Chapel was lost.
