Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Keep the crown detail crisp

The flared top has a recessed crown with small raised details. Choose a larger print with Full detail to retain those features, and use a slicer layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm.

  2. Slow down near the top

The tower rises well above the surrounding buildings and narrows through its middle. Print slowly and use cooling as the tall section builds.

  3. One piece with the ground

CITIC Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. CITIC Tower takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About CITIC Tower

CITIC Tower rises in Beijing's Central Business District in China and is also called China Zun. Its height is 528 meters (1,732 ft), and China Construction Third Engineering Bureau built it. The structure reached its full structural height on July 9, 2017, before the tower fully topped out on August 18, 2017. Completion came in late 2018.

The name China Zun refers to a zun, a wine vessel from ancient China. Developer CITIC Group identifies that vessel as the inspiration for the design. Farrells developed the concept for the land bid; after the client secured the bid, Kohn Pedersen Fox took over and spent 14 months developing the concept. A groundbreaking ceremony for the building was held in Beijing on September 19, 2011. The building combines offices, luxury apartments, and a hotel, with 60 floors allocated to offices, 20 floors to luxury apartments, and 20 floors to a hotel containing 300 rooms.
