Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Print the church front large

A convent complex of this size carries its finest detail in the church front. Print it larger, or set Landmark detail to Print friendly so small features are adapted to the print scale.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Convent of Las Descalzas Reales is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Convent of Las Descalzas Reales takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Convent of Las Descalzas Reales

The Convent of Las Descalzas Reales, a royal monastery in Madrid, is run by the Patrimonio Nacional. It occupies a palace that once belonged to Emperor Charles V and his empress, Isabel of Portugal. Joanna of Austria, their daughter, started the Poor Clare community there in 1559 and was later buried in it. Widows and unmarried noblewomen joined over the following century, each with a dowry, and the house grew into one of Europe's richest convents.

Tomás Luis de Victoria, called Spain's finest composer of the Renaissance, worked at the convent from 1587 until he died in 1611. The community fell into poverty by the 20th century, yet its treasures could not be sold. The state stepped in, and the pope allowed the convent to become a museum in 1960.

Its museum holds relics and art accumulated from those dowries, including tapestries woven to designs by Rubens, work by Brueghel the Elder, and Titian's Caesar's Money. Juan Bautista de Toledo designed the church facade in 1559, and Juan Gómez de Mora designed sections of the altar, choir, and sacristy in 1612. The main altarpiece, finished by Gaspar Becerra in 1562, burned in 1862 and was replaced a year later.
