Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Small facade details

A tall commercial building has small roof and facade details. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every modeled feature on a larger print.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Dominion Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Dominion Building takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Dominion Building

The Dominion Building was first called the Dominion Trust Building. It is a commercial building at 207 West Hastings St, on the edge of Gastown in Vancouver, British Columbia. It was the city's first high-rise with a steel frame. John S. Helyer was the architect; a story says he died falling from the staircase at the front of the building, but that is an urban legend. It is a Class "A" heritage structure.

Count Alvo von Alvensleben of Germany financed the project and was a figure in Vancouver's financial circles. Generally known as one of the Kaiser's godsons, he was said at the time to be fronting the Kaiser's money. This fed a rumor that the Empire's tallest building was built by its greatest rival. That overlooks the Traders Bank Building in Toronto, finished in 1906 at 55.39m, which was the tallest in the Empire.

The building faces Victory Square across the street. The former provincial courthouse stood on the square until it moved to Georgia Street in 1913, and until then the Dominion Building sat at the center of the financial and legal district of the city. Street scenes of The Neverending Story were filmed around its back side and Cambie Street, and the opening rooftop chase of Blade: Trinity was shot at the building.

About this model

The Dominion Building is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
