115 m of the Edifício Copan, 37 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Keep the facade bands distinct
Fine horizontal bands follow the curved facade. Use a larger print and a slicer layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm to keep the stacked detail crisp.
- Retain the rooftop details
Small raised blocks and thin edges break up the roofline. Print friendly adapts these details to the print scale; Full detail suits a larger print or fine nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
The Edifício Copan is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Edifício Copan takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Edifício Copan
Edifício Copan stands at 200 Avenida Ipiranga in central São Paulo, Brazil. Oscar Niemeyer's São Paulo office designed the building, and Niemeyer himself shaped its curving facade. Joaquim Cardozo provided the structural design, while Carlos Lemos helped carry out the work. The project was intended to celebrate São Paulo's fourth centenary and opened in 1966. Its original scheme paired a residential building with a hotel, but the residential component alone was built. The concept called for housing a mix of people from Brazilian society.
The reinforced-concrete building rises 115 meters (377 ft.) and has 32 floors. Its six blocks contain 1,160 apartments, with homes ranging in size from studios to units with three bedrooms. Commercial premises occupy the ground floor. Copan's name comes from the initials of its original development company. The building also became the subject of a short-story collection by Regina Rheda, published in Portuguese in 1994. That collection received a Jabuti prize in Brazil in 1995.
