About Museu Paulista

The Museu Paulista, part of the University of São Paulo and commonly called Museu do Ipiranga, is a history museum in Brazil. It stands near the place beside the Ipiranga Brook where Emperor Pedro I is said to have proclaimed Brazil's independence. Its vast collection includes furniture, documents and historically important artworks, many from the era of the Brazilian Empire.

The Italian architect Tommaso Gaudenzio Bezzi was selected in 1884 to design the monumental building. The palace is 123 meters (404 ft) long and counts as Eclectic architecture. It welcomed the public on September 7, 1895. In 1909 the Belgian landscape designer Arsenio Puttermans planned the gardens, which Reinaldo Dierberger redesigned in the 1920s.

The best-known artwork in the collection is Independência ou Morte (Independence or Death), an 1888 painting by Pedro Américo. The museum also has a facsimile of the 1628 Map of Céspedes Xeria, and a satellite museum in Itu that opened on April 18, 1923. Extensive restoration and modernization kept it shut from August 2013; it reopened to the public in September 2022.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 10 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 13 mm 1:3,000

Ornate facade and roof edge
The long facade carries fine arches, columns and a decorated roofline. Print friendly adapts small details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
Gardens around the palace
Narrow garden paths and ponds surround the building. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps them clean.
One piece with the ground
Museu Paulista is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Museu Paulista takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Museu Paulista is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Museu Paulista STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Museu Paulista grows with the print: about 10 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
